Kawasaki z1000

The Kawasaki Z1000 Special Edition unveiled in Europe

For Kawasaki, the party just doesn’t stop. In order to celebrate 30 years of the Ninja, they launched the ZX-14R Anniversary Edition in America followed by the ZZR-1400 Performance Sport edition in Europe. One of their meanest looking motorcycles has now joined the party. The Kawasaki Z1000 Special Edition has been launched in Europe and like other special editions the special bits on this one are mostly cosmetic.

The Z1000 now comes in a special paint job of Golden Blazed Green and Metallic Graphite Gray in comparison to the menacing all black and Black/Orange combo available on the stock bike.  Apart from the paint, the front Showa forks now feature a big piston architecture and can function independently with pre-load adjustability in the left tube and damping duties in the right. A Horizontal Back-link rear suspension makes the rear section clutter-free and offers a more centralized mass to the bike. An Eco Riding light indicator is standard, just like the dual throttle valves, ultra-aggressive die-cast mirrors, full LED Lighting and the rim-striped, lightweight cast wheels. Technically the bike remains unchanged and offers the same 1043 cc inline-4 that delivers 140 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 111 Nm of torque at 7300 rpm and although this is a special addition, ABS is available only as an option.
