The Izh-1, Ultimate Motorcycle for Futuristic Commuting.

Innovations are inevitable and whether you like it or not, the numbers of innovations only going to increase from here on. Now bound and determined by this ever strong prevailing wave of innovations Mr. Igor Chak has innovated a motorcycle named as ‘Izh-1’ for our future. Yes, I don’t know if this concept will ever see mass production, but what I’m absolutely certain of is that this Hybrid motorbike clearly show us the face of future. And ohh.. boy! I’m loving it and I can’t just wait for future to arrive.

The bike is designed along smooth aerodynamic lines featuring innovative and lighter components to keep the weight nearly half than that of conventional motorcycles. Equipped with 850cc, V-twin engine that interestingly features highly reinforced and heat resistant plastic in its molding and is still capable of generating respectable 140 horsepower.

The engine has built in wiring and circuitry which eliminate damages to wires such as corrosion and decay. As per Igor, having this feature will enable ‘Izh-1’ to have less faulty contacts and make diagnostics more precise. The engine has an automatic smart fuel-regulating system to get the best kmpl. In addition to that there is a brush less 60kw electric motor that is built in the rear rim, with a small 2 speed gearbox. The power to the electric motor comes from a Lithium Sulfide Battery or Li2S (hold four times the energy of Lithium ion batteries) that is located at the rear of the engine. This hybrid combination should be giving out around 28kmpl. To do a breaking duty on bike, Igor has appointed magnetic brakes which are very powerful yet very precise with a hydraulic back-up system. The bikes clutch, braking and throttle are all electronically controlled for more precise driving experience.The bike also comes with futuristic safety packages like airbags that ensure the rider is more likely to survive and sustain a minimum damage to the body in an accident.

Since the bike is from future it includes a radar system integrated with front facing in-built camera which can detect an object as small as a bunny and can program the bike to slow down when a car in front of the bike stops unexpectedly. The camera also has night vision capabilities. Every potential danger is displayed on the onboard 3D LCD which has a connectivity option of Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and 4G. The handlebars will vibrate to warn the rider of a possible warning like… car too close, blind spot, pedestrian, and etc. Other safety features include: advanced traction control that has an automatic ability to adjust to ice, water dirt and oil, an accelerometer to let the headlights turn when you turn, stabilizer to avoid wobble and advanced ABS. Front intakes are not only for aesthetic purposes but are a major part of the construction. First they provide a steady flow of air to the radiator, secondary they work as aerodynamic stabilizers to the front when the bike is traveling at higher speeds. Additionally, it can wirelessly control a mobile device with major OS like iPhone, Blackberry, Windows, Symbian, Android, etc. on the bike’s main display.

One of the most interesting features is the bikes connection to the real world. Its display uses an augmented reality (AR) technology. Now if you not aware of AR than read this – ‘Augmented reality is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented (or supplemented) by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data’. Now that you are aware of AR technology read ahead to know how ‘Izh-1’ exploits this technology to take your riding experience to next level. Augmented reality is translated through an HD camera build into the front with night vision capabilities. With this technology GPS navigation has been translated in real time. The navigation pass is overlaid into what the camera sees and displayed on the main display. So all those, whose mind and eyes can’t understand normal GPS can now open Champagne bottle to celebrate this. This also makes it easier way to find commercial points of interest. Augmented reality also works as a safety features to outline potential hazards.

Izh-1 looks amazing and has features which one can only dream of using in future. I just hope that while I’m writing this some angle investor will be looking over Igor creation to put it into production, so that we can experience this beautiful innovation sooner.
