New Suzuki Gixxer 150cc first look, Specification

New Suzuki Gixxer 150cc first look, Specification

The iconic Suzuki Gixxer may have kept its fans in India waiting for a long time. However,  it's coming in the form of a stripped down 150 cc version instead of the original 1000 cc iteration.

the bike will generate high traction. While the front wheel gets a disc brake, the rear wheel has been fitted with drum braking system. In terms of suspension, the front gets telescopic forks and a mono-shock system with swing-arm arrangement at the rear.
Expect the Gixxer to be a great mix of performance and mileage.Gixxer 150 is powered with SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance), a newly adapted engine technology, which boasts top-class fuel efficiency without compromising power and performance.

Gixxer has a masculine style design with bigger forks, mono suspension, GSX inspired muffler, all these guddies makes it one mean looking machine.Suzuki has planned to launch the Gixxer in Indonesia this year; Indian debut of Gixxer 150 is scheduled sometime in July or August later this year.

It seems Suzuki is getting really serious about the Indian market, last month Suzuki launched 110 cc “Lets” moped scooter which was unveiled with Gixxer 150 at the Autoexpo. Lets is 110 cc scooter with cutting edge SEP technology.Considering the competitive Japanese rivals who are way ahead of Suzuki making it difficult for Suzuki to cope up with market needs, well difficult but definitely not impossible. The only hit product from Suzuki Motorcycles India is the Suzuki Access 125 and moderately successful is the GS150R.

Radical design of the new Suzuki Gixxer 150 will surely attract prospect customers of Yamaha FZ, Pulsar 150 and Honda’s 150cc bike lineup. In 2014 AutoExpo Suzuki Motorcycles India launched 250cc parallel twin Suzuki Inazuma. Priced a little higher and coming to India via CBU, Suzuki did not find many buyers for this bike yet and it gets in the league of slow selling motorcycle.

It looks like Suzuki found the formula of sucess with Gixxer in the Indian market just like Yamaha got their a few years back with FZ. We hope, with the launch of Suzuki Gixxer, the company will begin new successful innings in India.
